Volunteering

Become part of a community that fosters a healthier public.

GBACHC is always looking for volunteers to help deliver high quality health care services and programming. With opportunities to meet new people and become part of a community that fosters a healthier public, our centre offers rewarding ways to become involved..

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Patient Engagement Advisors

We believe patient engagement means patients, families and health providers actively collaborating to improve Ontario’s health system. This includes the many ways that health providers work with patients and families to understand their needs and respond to them. Our Centre welcomes volunteers to actively participate in committees, focus groups and individual interviews sharing their thoughts and insight into making healthcare better for everyone.

Exercise Instructors

Help keep our community active and healthy by facilitating wellness programs such as low impact aerobics, strength exercises and stretching. Trained through “The Centre for Activity and Aging” in London.

Community Food Advisors

Help our community shop for and prepare tasty, nutritious, safe and low-cost meals by sharing their love and knowledge of food. Facilitated by volunteers trained by the Huron County Health Unit, programs include Men Can Cook and Cooking Out of the Box.

Front Line Support

Help to connect people with the services they need. By becoming a volunteer, you will assist our Support Team in their day-to-day front line support activities.

Board of Directors

Collective input, partnerships and collaboration are key to the success of GBACHC and new perspectives are always welcome. Applications to become a member of the Board of Directors will be accepted each spring.
