The Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre (GBACHC) is taking precautions to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
When patients/clients register at the GBACHC, they will be asked if they have a cough, fever or are experiencing breathing difficulties.
If the answer is YES, the patient/client will be asked to put on a loop mask over their nose and mouth and then asked the following questions:
- Have you been to China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore in the last 14 days?
- Have you been with a person who is ill and has been to China, Iran, South Korea, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong or Singapore?
- Have you been with a person who has been diagnosed with the COVID-19?
If a patient/client answers YES to any or all of the above screening questions 1-3, they will be required to put on an N95 mask and will be moved to an isolation area. An appointment for COVID-19 testing will be arranged and the Public Health Unit will be notified.
Unregistered group and class participants will be asked at the beginning of each session to self identify a YES to any of the above questions.
Patients/Clients contacting the GBACHC by phone will also be asked the above screening questions. If they answer YES to any of the questions 1-3, they will be directed to contact Public Health for further instructions.
