Housing
With access to safe, affordable housing, the fundamental needs of people are met, and people can stay and age in our community.
The CRCC works collaboratively with community partners to ensure that all area residents have housing that is safe and meets their needs.

Natural Environment and Trails
Being active in nature is a great way to stay healthy and connected to your community.
With beautiful trails, forests, gardens, lakes, rivers and wetlands, we protect our environment, and encourage people to enjoy the natural world.
The CRCC engages with local environment and trail groups to promote their programs and encourage everyone to take part.
Transportation
In rural communities, access to transportation is essential to getting to the services and activities that improve social inclusion and quality of life.
We provide a connected transportation network across our region that ensures people receive the care they need.

West Shores Wellness, Culture, And Recreation Hub
A vision for the future, an expansion for our community
Hub Development on Hold
The West Shores Wellness Hub (Hub) committee has temporarily suspended its development work while members of the community explore a new community centre concept. The Hub committee is intrigued by and supports the new concept. The committee will reconvene at a later time to learn more about the new concept’s viability and will report updates and news here on this page.
This page contains information about the Hub planning up to January 2021.
A Vision for the Future
The vision for the West Shores Wellness, Culture, and Recreation Hub (Hub) is as an expansion on the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre (GBACHC) building and land. The Hub was designed by the Steering Committee as a way to address the needs of the growing community in and around Grand Bend. The goal of the Hub is to improve access to a range of wellness, cultural, and recreational services and facilities for all-ages, community vitality and stability of the greater Grand Bend area. Constructing a space that is multifunctional, multi-seasonal, and open to everyone would address these issues.
Taking a Look at the Hub Design
The Hub will help deliver on the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre’s (GBACHC) mission “to empower the health and well-being of the people in our communities – together.” Grand Bend has experienced a population increase of 32.5% since 2006, an annual growth rate of 2.9%. To accomodate for that population increase, the Hub will provide programming and services to the community which allows the GBACHC to focus on providing quality healthcare sevices.

Healthcare Expansion
Quality health care and wellbeing programs help people stay well by receiving the care they need close to home.
We are expanding the Grand Bend Area Community Health Centre to meet the needs of our growing and aging population. The CRCC is a champion for connecting patients and providers and ensuring equitable access to health care service.
Social Inclusion
Social inclusion means feeling welcomed by your community and being active and engaged in it.
By identifying and removing barriers, we build on our assets to strengthen inclusion. Integrating access to basic needs, services, activities, and groups, we create the conditions for everyone to reach their full potential.
The CRCC seeks to build inclusion for everyone.
Our friend Ian demonstrates the concept perfectly.
