Medical Office Assistant - Summer Student
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant Summer Student to join our team to provide clerical assistance from May to August. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills and an interest in working in a medical office setting.
Duties:
– Maintain patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date
– Scan, file and organize electronic documents
– Perform general administrative tasks to support the office staff
– Stock medical supplies
– Shadow medical office assistant staff to learn their roles
Experience:
– Minimum high school grade 11 education
– Previous experience working in a medical or dental office is an asset
– Proficiency in using office software, including MS File Explorer, Excel and Word
– Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an asset
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
This position offers the opportunity to work in a healthcare environment, utilizing both administrative and interpersonal skills.
